About DynamiCare Health

  • DynamiCare Health is a digital care program that motivates individuals to overcome substance use through both positive motivation and accountability. Our program is centered on the evidence-based practice of contingency management, also known as motivational incentives. Contingency management is the practice of offering incentives for desired outcomes, i.e., being rewarded for abstaining from substance use.

  • DynamiCare Health was designed to help: people with substance use disorders, those that wish to stop smoking/vaping, and those wishing to moderate their alcohol intake.

    Our therapeutic programs can be used as a “first-step” on a person’s recovery journey, or they can be used to complement work already being done in more traditional treatment programs. DynamiCare’s system is designed to help over one million people overcome a wide variety of substance abuse disorders and achieve a healthy life.

  • Dynamicare is a digital care program that combines an award-winning app with supportive Recovery Coaching, remote substance testing tools, and motivational incentives. DynamiCare members can earn monetary rewards for staying sober, performing random breath and saliva tests over selfie video, attending treatment appointments verified by GPS, and completing in-app self-guided therapeutic modules. If a member tests positive for substance use, then they will not be rewarded though they will have the opportunity to resume the rewards at the prior level upon having a negative drug screen at their next session.

  • DynamiCare is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. If your crisis is not immediately life-threatening, we encourage you to reach out to DynamiCare to see if our digital care options are right for you.

 

Costs & Payment

  • DynamiCare offers a variety of programs to choose from depending on the needs of the member. Our programs are covered by many insurance plans — if you reach out, we can check this for you.   • If you are paying out-of-pocket (not covered by insurance), you will be billed monthly for your subscription and any add-on services you may wish to utilize.

  • Yes. Like with any other program, you will have to set aside time periodically to take drug screens, participate in your recovery-coach check-ins, and complete the in-app training modules. That being said, DynamiCare is extremely flexible in comparison to other more traditional treatment options. As for treatment duration, DynamiCare’s full program lasts for 12 months. Not all enrollees are enrolled for the full 12 months however.

  • You may cancel your plan at any time in-app, or you may call DynamiCare to help you unsubscribe. You will receive a full refund for the programming as well as any testing equipment you may have purchased so long as you return it by mail if you cancel within the first 14 days of care. If you want to cancel after 14 days or in the middle of a billing cycle you will not receive a refund for that month. You can continue using your services until the billing cycle lapses and you are unenrolled.

How To Get Started

  • Once you have been confirmed as eligible and have been enrolled into one of DynamiCare’s programs, you will be shipped a Welcome Kit which includes a screening device as well as your smart debit card where your rewards will be placed. After you receive your kit you will be required to participate in an onboarding and orientation course. Once you have completed a baseline assessment and the in-app practice tests, you will be matched with a recovery coach with whom you can schedule your first appointment. There is no set time for this process and your progression through it depends on multiple factors.

 

Representatives & Coaches

  • One of our highly trained and experienced recovery coaches will be assigned to you for the duration of your care. We work hard to make sure that you are paired with a recovery coach that not only fits your needs, but is also somebody that you feel comfortable and safe working alongside on your journey to recovery.

  • Our recovery coaches are trained and overseen by a clinical team composed of doctors, clinical mental health counselors, and clinical psychologists. All of our recovery coaches must be certified as recovery coaches at the state-level, by the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors, or as a National Certified Peer Support Specialist.

 

Meetings & Sessions

  • Once enrolled in DynamiCare Health your recovery coach will be available to meet with you via video call at least once weekly. They will look to meet with you once a month if they have not heard from you.

  • You can meet with your recovery coach via video call or connect to them through text or voice calls.

  • Recovery coaches are available to text during normal business hours 5 days a week (M-F.) Members can meet with them at least once a week by video or voice call. If members have not spoken to their recovery coach within a month, the recovery coach will reach out to them for a check in.

  • You will work on a variety of coping skills, life skills, work to set goals, and check in to encourage accountability within the program during your appointments. Every coach has a slightly different style unique to them, but they are all trained and certified to meet your needs with evidence based care.

  • Yes! DynamiCare offers free support group meetings five days a week (M-F) at various times convenient to you. The times can be located on our website. These meetings are open to members, families, allies, and people in the community looking for a supportive environment.

 

Education & Accountability Tools

  • Yes! Not only does DynamiCare provide each member with a recovery coach available to them for video calls at least once a week, and available for texting during business hours, we also offer daily digital support meetings to members, allies, and families to attend, as well as other various self-led therapeutic and educational modules. The app additionally provides a convenient place to track treatment attendance and sobriety.

  • Our members are able to earn monetary rewards that increase incrementally as they maintain longer periods of sobriety, as verified by our routine, discrete, and easy to use substance use screens.

  • Yes, you get rewards for taking positive actions related to your recovery journey, such as completing negative urine screens or reading helpful articles on cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.

 

Family & Loved Ones Support

  • While DynamiCare is designed to help people struggling with SUD’s, we are not unmindful that there is often a significant benefit to including family and loved one’s in the therapeutic process. This is why we offer a programming option that includes family video coaching. This can not only keep everyone on the same page, but it can also start family members on their own healing journeys that can help build trust, pride, and bonding with their loved one with SUD.

  • DynamiCare has multiple ways for its member’s families and loved ones to get involved with their treatment! While it is up to the member to decide how much access to their information their family gets, DynamiCare does offer a Supporter Portal for family members to check on progress and even offers a program called FamilyPartners wherein families have access to family therapy sessions once a month. DynamiCare also offers a number of educational modules and a weekly family support group via Zoom. Family members can also contribute financially to the member’s reward fund to increase their reward pool and their motivation through our online support portal.
