November Release Notes: Suboxone Medication Adherence, "Moderation Mode", and Custom Email Notifications for Providers
Release Notes highlight recent product improvements we’ve made so you can easily stay up to date on what’s new.
Featured Update
Suboxone Medication Adherence
We’ve had a huge amount of interest in tracking and rewarding members when they take their prescribed medications, especially medications used in Medication Assisted Recovery!
This first medication we are supporting is suboxone/buprenorphine. Members can now take their suboxone on camera in the app, our team will verify the video (including a mouth check), and they will be rewarded for taking their full dose consistently. We look forward to rolling out this feature for other medications in the future!
What’s New
“Moderation Mode” - We now have the ability to support moderate drinking and reduced smoking! This feature allows members to still pass a breathalyzer or smokerlyzer test and receive rewards if they blow a BAC below 0.055, or if they taper down their use of cigarettes over time. We hope it will be useful for members who are looking to cut down but not abstain from use entirely.
Extended Substance Testing Windows - After an extensive review of the substance testing literature, we’ve decided to double the testing window for saliva multipanel tests and breathalyzer tests. This should make random testing more convenient for members by giving them significantly more time to complete random tests, while still remaining safely within detection windows.
Adjustments to Rewards - Every successful substance test a member completes contributes to their “streak”, which determines how much they will earn as a reward. After receiving feedback that members were discouraged when trying to build and maintain the maximum streak of 10, we shrank the streak to 5! Members should now have an easier time building up to the maximum streak and earning the maximum reward for each test.
Editing and Cancelling Appointments - Members now have the ability to fully control their appointment schedule in the app! They can add appointments, edit existing appointments, or cancel appointments that are no longer relevant or they don’t plan to attend. Appointment changes can be monitored by providers and the DynamiCare team, and providers can receive alerts about schedule changes.
Security upgrades - We’ve been hard at work on behind-the-scenes security improvements, including end-to-end encryption for push notifications delivered to member’s phones. You can rest assured that our team is going above and beyond to keep all private health data secure.
Tips for Providers
Providers now have the ability to control exactly which member activities trigger an email notification to their inbox!
Instead of receiving email notifications for all substance test results, providers might want to receive alerts for unsuccessful tests only. If providers want to add on alerts for other things like missed appointments, it’s no problem!
Providers can customize notifications however they would like to with this new feature.
